Botanic Garden of Taranto Villa
(Giardino Botanico di Villa Taranto Lake Maggiore)
Situates in Verbania alittle town of Lake Maggiore and near the Swiss glaciers above the lake the Garden of Villa Taranto was bought in 1930 by a Scottish captain named Neil Mac Eacharn, when he acquired the property from mister Sant Elia.
The park is a botanical garden with a great variety of plants and flowers. There are approximately 20.000 species of different and rare plants and flowers. A beautiful show during bloming and blossoming can be seen within the park's premises with its typical english gardens in cohabitation with worldwide species adapted to the temperate climate of Lake Maggiore.
